The Eurasia Dance Society will be hosting its first annual Summer Dance Intensive in August 2009 at the beautiful, newly renovated Mountain View Resort in Glen Spey, NY. The Summer Dance Intensive is intended for dancers at least 15 years of age, who have had extensive prior dance training.  The 2009 Summer Dance Intensive will be dedicated to the exploration of various dance styles of the peoples of Russia and Ukraine.  The Dance Intensive will culminate in the 1st annual Eurasia Arts Festival, which will feature performances by Dance Intensive members and various other Eurasian musicians and dancers.

Dancers under age 18 must be accompanied by a guardian.  Dancers may attend one or both weeks of the intensive, but must attend both weeks in order to perform at the Eurasia Arts Festival on Saturday, August 22.

Tuition  $250 per week

Fees  Room and board fees vary per package, and range from barrack-style accommodations to luxurious rooms in the Ardmore mansion.

Early Registration Discount

Any students registered prior to May 1 will receive a $50 tuition discount for each week of attendance.   

Please make all tuition and room/board fees payable to The Eurasia Dance Society.  To register a student, please complete the EDS Dance Intensive registration form and mail with a $250 deposit for one week of attendance or a $500 deposit for two weeks of attendance to:

Final payments are due by July 1, 2009.  A $50 late fee will be applied to all payments received by EDS after July 1.  Any registrations received after July 1 will be subject to a $75 late-registration fee.

Dancers Under Age 18

Due to insurance regulations, all dancers under age 18 as of August 9, 2009 must be accompanied by a guardian for the duration of the Dance Intensive.  Guardians must share a private room with any dancers in their care; must be either a legal guardian of the dancer, or an adult at least 18 years of age and immediately related to the dancer; and must complete the Guardian portion of the dancer's Registration form. 

Eurasia Dance Festival Weekend

Select dancers from the Eurasia Dance Intensive will perform during the Saturday afternoon performance of the Eurasia Arts Festival to be held on August 22 and 23.  The Eurasia Dance Intensive formally ends after this performance, at 5pm on Saturday, August 22.  All Dance Intensive participants are welcome to stay on premises for the duration of the Eurasia Arts Festival, and will receive free room and board for Saturday-Sunday, August 22-23.  By taking advantage of the extended room and board, participants agree to continue abiding by Dance Intensive guidelines and restrictions for the duration of the Festival weekend.  All festival activities will be free to Dance Intensive participants remaining on premises, excluding any Dance Master Classes being offered on Sunday, August 23.
