The Eurasia Dance Society will be hosting its first Summer Day Camp in July 2009 at St. Andrew’s Ukrainian Orthodox Church in Silver Spring, MD, open to dancers aged 6-15. No prior dance experience is required to attend. EDS intends its Summer Camp to be a means by which young dancers can improve their existing dance knowledge, and diversify their dancing repertoire. The 2009 Summer Camp will be an introduction to both Ukrainian and Russian dance, offering separate classes in Ballet, Ukrainian, and Russian dance styles. Please note that the Ukrainian and Russian classes will be taught by different instructors to help students distinguish between the two dance cultures. Each day includes an hour-long Interactive Workshop where the students will learn about the various regions and peoples of Russia and Ukraine. Saturday’s showcase class from 9:00-12:00 will be open to family and friends.

Tuition $250
Tuition fees include all instruction and an afternoon snack, which will be served at 4:15. Students are asked to bring their own lunch.
Early Registration Discount
Any students registered prior to April 15 will receive a 10% discount on camp tuition.
